Study Abroad Programs

To use financial aid funds for a study abroad program, students must submit their completed Transient Agreement to their Financial Aid Counselor. The Financial Aid Counselor will use this form to initiate a Consortium Agreement with the abroad program for the administration of their aid.

UT scholarships may be used only in conjunction with a University-approved tuition exchange program. Students may not apply University scholarships to external programs. However, if the student studies abroad for a period of one year or less and returns to UT in the semester immediately following the education abroad program, UT scholarship monies will be reinstated.

This policy is null and void if the international coursework has not been approved in advance by UT or if the student fails to attain the grades or academic scores necessary for transfer credit.
