Student Responsibility

Each student is responsible for the proper completion of his or her academic program, for familiarity with this catalog, for maintaining the GPA required and for meeting all other degree requirements. The student’s assigned advisor will counsel, but the final responsibility remains that of the student. The academic procedures are outlined to enable graduate students to gain the greatest benefit from a planned course of study and to ensure that all graduation requirements are satisfied in the planned sequence. Graduate students should also refer to the Academic Calendar section in this catalog and the Academic Policies and Procedures section for other University-wide policies and information. Each student is responsible for maintaining communication with the University and keeping on file with the Registrar’s Office at all times a current address, including postal code, phone number and email address.
