HSC 380 Materials and Methods in Health Education and Health Promotion
This course is designed to give the health education student a foundation in the implementation of health education and promotion programs. This course is devoted to the “doing” of health education and health promotion. Throughout the course, students will select, organize and present materials in health education and health promotion for use in a variety of settings. Students will incorporate techniques and methods based upon relevant health behavior and health education theories and models to develop, deliver and evaluate a community-based health education/promotion intervention. Students will develop skills in critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and professionalism.
