Florida Incentive Scholarship Program

The Florida Incentive Scholarship Program is a new aid program beginning in the 2014-15 academic year. Students graduating high school in the 2013-14 academic year who are recognized as National Merit or National Achievement Scholars are eligible to receive the Florida Incentive Scholarship. The annual award amount is equal to the highest institutional cost of attendance in the State University system, minus the sum of the Bright Futures award and National Merit/Achievement Award. The award is available in the fall and spring semesters only.

Students must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA for renewal and earn credits for all hours attempted. If renewal requirements are not met, the award is lost with no opportunity for restoration.

At the time of this writing, UT is awaiting additional guidance from the State regarding how eligible students will be identified and award amounts.
