NUR 730 Nursing Education in 21st Century Nursing Education
For DNP students. Learners examine issues related to nursing program development within the complex and highly regulated environment of nursing education. With a focus on regulatory and accrediting bodies, learners determine the best methods for designing, evaluating, and improving nursing education programs to meet the diverse needs of industry and other stakeholders in 21st century healthcare. Learners explore the nature of leadership roles in public and private institutions including the leadership characteristics, skills needed, and outcomes desired of educators at the dean, department chair, faculty, and staff development educator level. Practicum hours (50) in an academic or clinical site required.
