Honorably Discharged Graduate Assistance Program

HDGAP funds are intended to assist active duty and honorably discharged members of the Armed Forces pay for living expenses during holiday and semester breaks. This program was newly created by the 2014 Legislature. 

To qualify, students must:  

• Be Florida residents who are active duty or honorably discharged members of the Armed Forces who served on or after Sept. 11, 2001,  
• Be degree-seeking, 
• Have unmet need (as determined by the results of the FAFSA)

Veterans must submit a copy of their DD-214 Member-4 form to UT's VA Certifying Official in the Registrar's Office to show nature of discharge.

Students may receive up to $50 per day for a maximum of 20 days ($1,000) per academic year. Funds are limited.
