COM 356 Approaches to Media Studies
This course introduces students to the research methodologies and techniques employed in Media Studies. It covers qualitative, quantitative, critical approaches, including content analysis, ethnography, surveys, and textual analysis. Students will design research projects, collect and interpret data, and critically evaluate media content and production. Students will develop a nuanced understanding of media and be prepared to conduct independent research or contribute to academic and professional projects in media and communication fields.
