COM 387 Event Planning and Communication

This course introduces students in the Advertising and Public Relations program to the fundamentals of event planning through advertising and public relations efforts. From concept development to execution and evaluation, students will learn how to design successful events that align with brand goals and communication strategies. Emphasis will be placed on logistics, budgeting, advertising and public relations strategies for event communication and promotion, audience engagement, partnerships/sponsorships, and measuring event success. Students will apply their knowledge by collaboratively planning and executing a real event on campus or in collaboration with a professional association.
