PHL 490 Career Internship for Philosophy Majors
This internship course provides students with supervised work experiences through which they learn how to ethically and professionally apply philosophical theories, concepts, and skills to the kinds of work they might like to pursue outside the academy. Students will complete 40-160 internship hours in addition to meeting regularly with their faculty supervisor and applying philosophy to their internship experience through a reflection paper and at least one other piece of work (e.g. a collection of journal entries, presentation, etc.), chosen by them and their faculty supervisor. Students will also be supervised by staff at their work site.
