Felony Clearance for Admission
All applicants for admission to The University of Tampa graduate and continuing studies programs are required to disclose on the application all prior criminal felonies, convictions and pending criminal charges. This includes applicants to master’s and doctoral degree programs, non-degree seeking students, course auditors, post-baccalaureate and adult undergraduate programs.
The University reviews all graduate and continuing studies applications in which an applicant discloses prior criminal felonies or pending criminal charges to determine whether the admission of the applicant is in the best interest of The University of Tampa.
The University of Tampa applies a holistic approach to evaluate applicant criminal misconduct disclosures that focus on safety and fairness.
Applicants who do not disclose prior criminal felonies or pending criminal charges are in violation of the disclosure requirements and may be subject to appropriate action including denial of admission, revocation of admission, or other appropriate action prescribed by the University.
