Pathways to Honors
First-year Honors students must take Pathways to Honors 101 and 102. HON 101 introduces the student to the Honors Program. There, students learn the expectations, commitments, and opportunities – including Honors Symposia – that come with participation in Honors. Each course is uniquely connected to the scholarship of the faculty member teaching the course. HON 102 introduces the student to the philosophical underpinnings of the Honors Program and begins developing the skills necessary to complete it. It encourages students to explore Honors Program offerings and to continue their pursuit of experiential learning and undergraduate inquiry. Students earn 1 credit hour for the successful completion of each course. These are graded courses.
