ATT 410 Athletic Student Development II

This course is the first in the two-part Culminating Experience sequence and establishes the foundation for the final project in ATT 411. Students will examine the integration of the biopsychosocial model in healthcare, with emphasis on its application to clinical practice. The course explores clinical reasoning and patient-centered decision-making while analyzing how social determinants of health and health literacy influence patient outcomes. Recognizing the importance of an interdisciplinary approach, students will integrate perspectives from the social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities to address real-world challenges in athletic training and develop a comprehensive understanding of factors that influence quality care.
