PAM 710 Physician Assistant Competencies I: Foundations

PA Competencies I: Foundations provides structured competency development during the clinical phase. Students complete rotation-based learning activities and required back-to-campus sessions with lecture, lab, simulation, and OSCE-style assessments. Content targets topic areas not fully represented in core SCPEs and is adjusted to cohort needs identified through PACKRAT and other standardized assessments. Emphasis includes clinical reasoning, documentation, evidence appraisal, and foundational technical skills to support progression toward graduation-level competence and PANCE readiness.
