PAM 712 Physician Assistant Competencies III: Advanced Practice Readiness

PA Competencies III: Advanced Practice Readiness is the capstone competency course in the clinical phase. Students demonstrate graduation-level proficiency through rotation-based activities and required back-to-campus sessions with lecture, skills verification, simulation, and advanced OSCE or OSAT assessments. Content targets topics not fully represented in core SCPEs and is adjusted to cohort needs identified through PACKRAT and other standardized assessments. The course emphasizes independent clinical reasoning, documentation, patient safety, and professional behaviors to confirm readiness for graduation and PANCE success.
