MUS 391 ESOL for Music Education

This course will enable preservice music teachers to understand the educational needs of English Language Learners (ELL) in K-12 music education classes. Students are introduced to the 5 Florida ESOL Strands through a thorough investigation of the following: Communication and Understanding for English Language Learners, Applied Linguistics, Methods of Teaching ESOL, ESOL Curriculum and Materials Development, Testing and Evaluation of ESOL.
