General Biology Concentration (B.A. or B.S.)
This concentration meets the requirements of a variety of career paths, including industrial positions and secondary education, and of graduate programs in biology. Students must complete a minimum of 23 additional upper division biology credits for the B.S. and 31 additional upper division biology credits for the B.A. to be determined in consultation with advisors. In addition to the biology core curriculum, students must select a minimum of three credits each from of Category I, II and III for the B.S., while for the B.A., seven credits each from Category I, II and III must be selected. Any upper division biology courses consisting of those courses above BIO 199, MAR courses above 200 or ENS 235, ENS 242, ENS 307, ENS 346, ENS 349 may be used to fulfill the remaining elective requirements excluding BIO 410, BIO 420, BIO 440, BIO 445, BIO 450, BIO 480, BIO 490 and BIO 495.
