Department of Environmental Studies Curriculum
The B.S. in Environmental Studies and B.A. in Environmental Studies majors offered through the Department of Environmental Studies share as their foundation the Environmental Studies Core Curriculum. The B.S. in Environmental Studies offers students four different concentrations which provide specialization in particular content areas (Communication, Humanity and Geography, Natural Sciences, Public Policy), while the B.A. in Environmental Studies offers a broader survey of numerous content areas related to the field.
Environmental Studies Core Curriculum
The environmental studies core curriculum consists of the following six courses:

MAT 170: May be waived if student is placed directly into
MAT 260 Calculus. Students should investigate graduate admission requirements early in their UT program of study, because mathematics requirements vary widely.
