Introductory Environmental Studies Courses

Introduction to Environmental Studies I (ENS 198) and II (ENS 199) provide the conceptual framework on which the environmental studies degrees are based. ENS 198 surveys major environmental issues and their associated environmental, social, economic, and political impacts. ENS 199 is focused on developing this same understanding about global environmental change. Both courses focus on scientific epistemology (i.e., how we know what we know) and the role of communication in achieving desired environmental outcomes.
