PAM 653 Problem-Based Learning I

Problem-Based Learning I is a facilitated, small-group, case-based course designed to strengthen clinical reasoning and application of didactic content. Students apply concurrent learning from the Clinical Medicine anchor course and mapped courses by working through progressive patient cases, developing differential diagnoses, selecting focused evaluation strategies, proposing initial management plans, and producing concise clinical documentation. The course emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, preparation, and reflective practice. Case content aligns with the concurrent Clinical Medicine I system block (Orthopedics/Rheumatology, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, Hematology/Oncology, Pulmonology, and EENT/Oral Health). Graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. Enrollment restricted to UTampa PAM students.
