PAM 672 Medical Diagnostics III

Medical Diagnostics III completes the longitudinal diagnostics sequence by reinforcing diagnostic test selection, ordering, interpretation, and documentation in system-aligned clinical contexts. Content parallels the concurrent Clinical Medicine III block and emphasizes appropriate utilization, cost-conscious testing, avoidance of low-value testing, and clear documentation of diagnostic rationale, interpretation, and next-step planning. Topics include system-based diagnostic strategies and test interpretation relevant to women’s health and behavioral health presentations, with continued integration of laboratory medicine and diagnostic study selection and interpretation principles. Instruction includes lecture, case-based learning, and occasional demonstrations. Enrollment restricted to UTampa PAM students.
